It is important that the next Bishop of New Hampshire nourish the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual wellness of clergy and their families.

 

The pastoral care of the clergy by the bishop is highly valued within the Diocese of New Hampshire. This issue brought forth the second highest percentage of "strongly agree" responses among all survey questions. Percentages across all response categories for clergy and laity were identical, indicating unanimity. (Rank: 2. Mean Response: 4.6)


 

 


It is important that the next Bishop of New Hampshire possess and effectively communicate a clear and transparent theology.

 

Not surprisingly, there was no disagreement that the bishop should possess and be able to clearly communicate theology.  Overall agreement on the necessity of this characteristic stands at 95%.  (Rank: 3  Mean Response: 4.5)

 

 

It is important that the next Bishop of New Hampshire schedule an annual Episcopal visit to every congregation on a Sunday.

 

A far greater percentage of lay respondents (87%) agree about the importance of an annual Episcopal visit to their congregation, compared to the clergy (73%).  (Rank: 6.  Mean Response: 4.2)
