The voice of our congregations has a harmonious refrain, "Be
doers of the word not hearers only, do outreach."
Our Re-Imagining process revealed the commonly-held belief that
New Hampshire parishes see Christian outreach at the core of spiritual
expression. "Send us out to do the work you have given us to do,
to love and serve as faithful witnesses of Christ our lord." (BCP,
p. 366).
From Woodsville and Berlin to Nashua, Keene, and Diocesan House,
Episcopalians are engaged in Outreach. For example: food pantries,
parish nurse programs, pastoral care centers, Alcoholics Anonymous,
clothes closets, housing advocacy, prison mission, alternative
school partnerships, education for untouchable girls, United Thank
Offering, Habitat for Humanity, Episcopal Relief and Development,
Episcopal Peace Fellowship, Caring for Creation, Granite State
Organizing Project, ABC Quilts, Panama Orphanage, Mercy Ships,
Heifer Project, Refugee Resettlement, Companions in Jubilee ...
and more.
2007 - 2008 will continue this tradition by building our growing
resource and communication network of over 50 people, from every
region of our diocese. Use the Calendar and Forums on this website
to stay in touch. May God guide us to walk the sacred way together.
Let not the needy O Lord be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor
be taken away.
