“Let Not The Needy O Lord Be Forgotten, Nor the Hope of The Poor Be Taken Away.”

"Gracious God, the comfort of all who sorrow, the strength of all who suffer: Let the cry of those in misery and need come to you, that they may find your mercy present with them in all their afflictions; and give us, we pray, the strength to serve them for the sake of him who suffered for us, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.’’  (BCP. Pg. 279)

           SOME BIBLICAL GUIDES FOR PEACE

SOME BIBLICAL GUIDES TO INFORM OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO OUR CHILDREN –

+ St. Luke 18:15-17       Col.3:21

+ Ephesians 6:4              Isaiah 38:19

+ Psalm 78:4                 Psalm 10:17+18

+ Romans 15:5               Proverbs 22:6

+ Deut 15:7-11             St.Luke 2:41-52

“Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.”  (BCP. Pg. 829)

RECOMMIT TO YOUR BAPTISMAL VOWS DAILY – IT IS YOUR MINISTRY OF OUTREACH.  GOD IS YOUR HELP AND GUIDE.     ‘’In your presence O Lord there is joy. In your service is perfect freedom.’’

+ ‘’Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?’’

+ ‘’Will you strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being?’’

(Try this exercise: Put the word ‘How’ in front of the previous two baptismal vows and pray about how you can answer. If you and God can pray about it, you and God will find a way to do it.)
