Day 3
The best things about today's activities:
- We attended an evening Eucharist all in Spanish, and we all loved it, especially the music!!!!!
- The youth continue to build new relationships with their peers in small groups and throughout all the activities
- I had some great conversation with the Bishop of Michigan and the Bishop of Oklahoma
- Jim Sims, our male chaperone is amazing, and he was the perfect choice to attend with me.
We finished our evening with songs sung by Jim.
Thank you again for everyone's support!!!
God bless % peace,
Anne
Day 4
Well what a day!! We started off with our usual routine of breakfast morning program (guest speaker was a clergy member from Mississippi who talked about Hurricane Katrina and what can be accomplished and how thankful he is about the amazing youth that he has met and worked with), small groups and lunch then off to San Antonio to see the Alamo, and the Mexican market place. For dinner we were invited to a special dinner with all of our Province I peers and continued to build our faith community.
After dinner the youth experienced their first healing service and they were blown away! I can honestly say I have never felt closer to God!!! At the end of the service we had everyone do a laying on of hands with all the bishops that are here before they go off to Lambeth. WHAT A GOD MOMENT!! 1100 strong!!! We then had designated time for Diocesan Sabbath, and Jim and I took the kids to a small waterfall area with benches and he played his guitar and sang to them.
One more day left and the youth don't want it to end
God bless & peace,
Anne
