Continuing Education Clergy Grants

The purpose of these grants is to make continuing education more available for active clergy to strengthen their personal, professional and spiritual growth.

The Continuing Education Committee evaluates grant requests and provides funds for a number of opportunities. Examples:

• Conferences

• Retreats

• Preaching seminars

• Seminary courses

• CREDO

Priority funding is provided for Parochial Clergy—particularly those who are: a. recently ordained; b. developing new areas of ministry; c. serve in congregations with limited funding. Personal Enrichment programs (ex. art classes), retired clergy or soon-to-retire clergy (ex. interim ministry training), will be considered if funds are available at the end of the year.

*Note: Diocesan programs not funded through the budget process should not be funded by Continuing Education Grants.
